My theory: You feel strong emotions for something unreachable and you want it to be yours only. By seeing others loving it (even though their emotions are shallowish) you have to face the fact that it is not a mutual relationship between you and the pop band. You realise that you are only one in a million, however, you have a lot of sweet memories about the band and feel it is something unique and meaningful. (Actually, it still is and nobody can take that away with stupid Facebook entries!)
