Tv is a piece of shit. Images and messages flashing into your eyes, burning into your brain all your life to the point you think fucked up things like people getting hurt is funny. Easiest most effective way of mind control.

As far as the rest of that, sure Its normal. Just don't get too sucked into it.
I play some rather gory games still if i see something like that, that has actually happened my stomach turns around... Oh and now that i think about it you wont need TV to tell you its funny when others get hurt that has been there even before the TV got invented...
