If you are feeling stressed or are in an unfamiliar area then yes it is normal it is also normal if you are around people you do not trust.
I found toking with certain people ruined my high and that some places made me feel uneasy.
used to toke up in a grave yard once by the water although my buzz was ruined when i thought the police were coming.
Although i did get busted once when i had a bowel full of weed in the centre council of my car they let me off but i was stoned to max so i did not care that they were there. XD hence why i loved that state in my country.
i hate the state i am living in now.
