Is it normal that we sit in silence?

It's normal for some couples, so I voted normal. I have no problem with sitting in silence on the phone. My boyfriend isn't a phone person so we don't do it. But I've sat in silence on the phone with friends. I even used to call my friend up back in high school and we'd chat for a bit, then get quiet and do our homework. If we wanted to joke or laugh about something, or ask a homework question, the other person was right there on speakerphone, ready. :-) I mean, when you hang out with someone in person, you're not talking 100% of the time, right?

yeah, in person, a silent moment is nothing but on the phone, it's usually awkward.

So who pays the phone bill then?

lol I used to do that a lot with my ex-ex gf. reason was we wanted to be in same room but still go on and do w/e we wanted at the time

Is not normal, please quit that relationship. You don't need to waste your time plus get neck pain by staying on the phone with no reason.

not really. i do it, but for a shorter period of time, because i simply know hes on the other line. i hear him just breathe for a minute and really its all i need.but just for like a minute, you should appreciate every moment because it culd be your last.

I've done that a lot with my now-husband and it still happens with him on Skype sometimes. I'm always signed onto skype but we just do our own thing online but keep Skype vid up.
