No, I'll just repeat, have you ever had access to a world map.
There are three America's, north, central, and south. All countries in the America's are in fact Americans. You don't hear about it much and when you do they normally reference they are central or South American.
Why North Americans and especially the USA get to drop the north part, or don't even claim it, is questionable.
It's kind of egotistical for the US to think and imply they are the only Americans.
I understand it though, because some where around the colonial days and especially during your independence war. The term Yanks or Yankee was applied by the British.
In the 20th century Durning your WWI that term was crossed utilized with the term Americans.
At this point most of the world applies the term Americans to those from the USA.
But, and a big BUTT (maybe this is why US people are so fat), there are a lot of Americans besides the USA type.
See not racial at all, matter of fact very inclusive.
