Is it normal that u2 reminds me of world war 2?

I don't think it has anything to do with the lyrics, just whenever I listen to U2, specifically albums from 1980-1990, it reminds me of World War 2. When I play World War 2 video games I think of songs like "The Unforgettable Fire", "I Will Follow", "Bullet the Blue Sky", "40", "New Years Day", "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "Two Hearts Beat as One", and vice versa. Anyone else similar?

  • Everytime I think of U2, I think about that South Park episode where Bono took the biggest shit in the world. Then Stan's dad beat his record.

  • Well, there was a German submarine called a U-2. Maybe that's the link you are making.
