    Well,I hate to tell you,but britain basically were the birth of metal music.
    Led zepplin
    black sabbath
    Venom
    Electric wizard
    All these bands helped metals evolution and are from britain lol.Dont worry though,we have the best death and thrash metal bands though ;)

      Well I f**ing hate thrash and death metal. It's too repetitive, I am strictly a fan of classic/hard rock and classic metal.

        Too repetitive? Ever hear of 90% of the bands in both of these genres? haha,well its you're opinion.But trust me,thrash,you have to love atleast ONE thrash band no? Metallica,Lazarus A.D,slayer,megadeth,testament.
