Is it normal that this personality flaw makes me so angry?

  • I completely understand that. I have no problem with a person being sure of themselves or their argument, but when it comes to someone that is arrogant, it is almost as if they feel that they are the center of the universe, that all revolves around them and their "unique personality".

Maybe it's a bi-product from my atheist days, but every now and then I meet someone who is particularly arrogant and I wish to remind them "Hey! You're just one of 7 billion other human beings on this planet that is one of billions of planets within trillions of galaxies housing lives that have no more or no less importance that ours all of the aforementioned ALSO believe that they are 'unique and intelligent' beings and by sheer virtue of your arrogance and feeling of superiority and 'uniqueness' you are in fact, extremely similar to your fellow man!".

The destructiveness of the "I'm superior, I'm more intelligent, I I I Me Me Me My My My" is so strong throughout the course of history that it almost punches you in the face every time you open a history book, and you wish to continue said mentality and you somehow believe that your existence is beneficial to our kind? Get outta here.

Arrogance, in my opinion, is a severe case of being quite self-absorbed. We are all self-absorbed to some degree or another, but having the gull to complain about how other people react to you whilst having a mirror perpetually in front of your face is simply laughable. Arrogant people don't anger me, they amuse me, because they are so... so... predictable... and fun to mess with XD Because when you say anything towards them, you are directly attacking the center of their universe...
