Well, then it could be many things. It could be a inflamed lymph node or something else. If she got a scan then they may be able to get a clearer picture. The fact that the OP has had it for about three years is very worrisome.
It could be bad yes, but usually bumps that have been present for years and haven't made you sick or cause any problems are just bumps that people sometimes get. There are many harmless conditions that cause a weird bump on your body that just stays there. But yeah still go to the doctor, i rekon it's nothing though, If it were a tumor i think after a couple of years you'd be getting some pretty severe side effects like epic headaches, vomiting, dying, that sort of thing!
Doctors even say that most people overreact and think they've got cancer when they find a lump, but it rarely is.

thank you :) but somtimes i even get them in the middle of my head too. Or it appears right behind my ear. I should just go get it checked out.
