Well, are you Cheering because you like it or because you want to make social connections?
It's normal to do something because you like the activity and it doesn't mean you have to make friends doing it.
Cheerleaders have a bad rap for being vapid twats who are hated by everyone except themselves and their crazy mothers.
I wouldn't lose sleep over it - you are just a lot more well-rounded than some of the people on your team.
