It sucks! This is going to sound really arrogant, but sometimes it doesn't help to focus on who is better than you. You can take the optimistic view and think, well look at all the people I am better than! Look at the person in third place and realize they are feeling what you feel.
And I wouldn't say anyone is better than *you*. They may be more proficient in skills you have, but they are not any better than you as a person.
I dunno. Shit happens. It's nice to be on top, but is it just me or does it kinda suck at the same time?
