Is it normal that the words "social", "socialise", ... etc make me cringe?

I've never found anyone else who has proclaimed that such words containing "social" make them cringe in any way. One thing to note is that I almost never enjoy social interactions with people, and have probably just associated this with the word.

It's kinda annoying actually but trends always has its starts and ends. I'll give it another five to ten years before people stop using it all the time.

In the past it wasn't a good word. Things like -
Social studies. Shitty boring subject in school.
social services. Some drunk bitch who wants to take away the kids.

Only recently has it become some kind of cool buzz word.

I do not care for the word either.

I always feel like it’s easy for people who aren’t shy to socialise I think ur just different like me :-) umm don’t feel bad and just try to make friends or at least 1 friend it will make things easier because you will have someone to talk to and tell them about your problems.

The word social by some standards hath been used as a trend of some sort. Everybody is social goddamn like otherwise we wouldnt be a „society“. It’s been very much lifted up, but the people that lift it up too much are against those, that don’t help or are against others themselves. Which makes the „social“ people’s definition of it not working out. Because they are hating on other groups while using that term wayyyy to often, and they aren’t even as social as they think
    That’s what pisses me off
It’s this smiley smiley but you’re not good behavior or this not getting of why people hate
And they can’t take jokes, like not at all
Those are sadly a lot of people and they don’t seem to be following their own opinion bit rather, like I said, a trend, like many vegans do nowadays

And the topic of the word society, I can’t hear it anymore either
But that’s just because it’s all so messed up and I have talked about it too much, or well, gotten angry about it

I have to add, in your case it it very plausible you connected bad feelings with the word, as you didn’t like doing that in the first place and have felt negative emotions connected with it

    Whoop I feel the same
Certain groups of people overrate that word so much that it’s kinda getting bad just listening to it all the time
    Is what I think
Well upon maybe some other things

Interesting. It is good to know that I am not the only one.

      >Well upon maybe some other things
What do you mean by this?
