Vinegar is similar I guess, but that smell is so common, I wouldn't connect the two. Won't share where I got my smack, but it was mostly of ok quality. Have done it for about a year and I thought the smell was super comforting and very Christmas-y. It's just that when I eat Gingerbread, nothing follows beyond the taste. ;) I dunno if there was anything mixed in it that smelled similar, but this stuck to me much more than the obvious vinegar-smell.
IIN that the smell of gingerbread reminds me of heroin?

You got high once while ginger bread cookies were being baked and you brain now connects the two. Can't have one without the other.
