(Oh, shit! This is triggering a severe phobia of mine. Damn! - I have a texture pattern related phobia, more specifically, I can't stand thick black squiggle-lines.)
Are rainbows the only thing that you see in black and white? Or, can you see other things in normal colour? Either way, I don't think it is normal. You might want to get your eyes check. Good luck! :)
That was very dumb. If you were colorblind you would still recognize that you were looking at a rainbow and you wouldn't necessarily understand that what you were seeing was anything different from what other people see. The only abnormality is that you would confuse certain colors with others I.e. Orange and red because they would share a similar tannish hue. I highly doubt that you actually are seeing black and white rainbows, because it is not possible. I think you are reaching out on the Internet with fictional ailments. I don't know why this bothers me but it does. Stop lying it doesn't make you look better.
No. By definition, rainbows are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet - as I'm sure you've heard. Any arrangement of colors other than that is not a rainbow, although a grouping of 4 or more colours may commonly be referee to as "rainbow coloured", even though it isn't a true rainbow.
Do you see other things in colour? Have you ever looked at a colour blindness test? You can find them online. That will give you an idea if you differentiate colours that other people can.
Are you, perchance: a goat? They also only see in black and white...
Seriously, if you have ever been diagnosed with any eye defects, it is most likely the reason you see rainbows - and everything else - in black and white.
