True, rainbows have been used to represent many other things. It does however, in my opinion, carry a stigmatization because (in my opinion, short-sightedly) it has been adopted to represent a particular sexual orientation that is a fringe element in society. Try wearing an outfit with a rainbow symbol to a job interview or using this symbol in a business venture, for instance.
Nowhere did I say that the rainbow is a symbol for "gay pride", yet you came to that conclusion.
Is it normal that the rainbow symbol is used by homosexuals?

If you go dressed to a job interview dressed as a rainbow then being mistaken for being gay is probably the least of your problems.
