Gilgamesh was the fifth king of Uruk (Sumerian) in ancient Mesopotamia ca. 2500 BC. He wrote the Epic of Gilgamesh, which is among the oldest surviving literature known. It is a poem, part of which explains a rainbow as the necklace of Ishtar. There is also a reference to 'the great flood' as a remembrance.
uh I know who gilgamesh is. he is the first epic hero. and he absolutely did not write his own epic poem. which in fact is thee oldest poem, or piece of literature. it was written waay past his reign.
Is it normal that the rainbow symbol is used by homosexuals?

"The necklace of great jewels" that Ishtar wears upon her neck, is a rainbow.
