  • Well I see your point. Now people don't care about "dream job" if the pay is high. Now the term dream job is taken over by "money matters". They will sell their skills to anyone who is ready to pay them more. So they are studying harder. The higher their skill levels are the higher pay they will get. Highest paying job will be their dream job.
In a society like this, fun is just distraction from their work / skill development. The system did mess up. They are losing their health and social life. Material will matter more to them than people. In a society like this crime will increase. People will often deny to help and socially unconscious people will vote wrong people.
I will call you a hero of you try to improve your society. I wish you the best.

    • It is funny you called me a child and a hero in the same day (relating to another post you commented on today). I don't know where you are from but my society is becoming extremely materialistic. I can see it in the youth everyday. In contrast though there's a pretty low crime rate here. And well that's due to a mixture of our very short history and a very efficient government. I think this country is doing very decently in a materialistic sense, perhaps though I can see that there is a spiritual deficit. Some spark missing in the people's eyes here. Whatever it is we don't have much of an opposition to vote for in my country haha but I hope the education system will change over the next 20 years. Kids need dreams AND money to be really happy. At least that's my opinion.
