Yeah that's what we are doing except I have not made it weird and awkward- she has!! The fact that she doesn't even talk to me outside of work at all and only directs me at work as to what to do says it all. -_-
I do not believe in this weird philosophy of not mixing business and pleasure. I'm friends with all of my coworkers, even my boss (both inside and outside of work).
It really sounds like you have a user instead of a "friend". She only talks to you when she needs you. That isn't the kind of person I'd willingly interact with. Do your work and avoid her when possible. Don't accept hanging out anymore if she offers.
