Is it normal that the back of my leg is tanner than the front?

A few years ago, I noticed that that back of my leg is much tanner than the front of my leg. You can clearly see where the tan starts, because it's a straight line down my calf. I know it's not because I get tanner on the back side of my body, because I live in Minnesota, so it's not like I wear shorts throughout the year, it's always been like this. Is it normal?

I have the exact same thing, but im not sure about any of these comments.. I mean i am mexican so it could be the mix in genes but i don't think so. And birthmark? It's on both my legs.. So unless it goes all the way back.. Maybe.

I think its possible that its due to having such a mix of different genes from your anscestors. I get that with my hair. I got little blond, little dark brown, light brown & my eye color is like a big mosh posh of color. Skin can do that too.

oh true I've seen this on a girl before and it was a birth pigmentation error...idk it's not harmful so don't worry too bad about it

This may be a birthmark or congenital skin pigmentation abnormality. I have the same issue with my lower back being a shade darker than my stomach.
