Is it normal that sometimes my bf doesn't understand i am busy..

My boyfriend sometimes does not understand that I am very busy working on my school work. I'll tell him if I can finish it early, we can meet up, but its not guarantee that I'll be able to see him. Yet, he still sends me texts about wanting to see me or when I am getting there. Putting the pressure on. I feel rushed in having to finish my work fast. Sometimes he'll come over while I am still working. Its sweet, but distracting. It got to the point that I had to lie and tell him I have a flat tire, so I can't drive out to wherever he was, just so I can relax. It didn't stop him from coming out to check out my tire. Oops.
Overall, we have a great relationship. Is it normal he does put the pressure on me?

    He sounds very disrespectful, controlling and immature and way too needy. Lying isn't a solution, as you've discovered.

    Be honest and clear with him, don't respond to texts and if he visits when you've told him you're busy tell him to sit down in another room while you finish your school work. Don't let him rush you: it's great that your school work is important to you and he should be respecting that, not sabotaging it.

    It's too needy. He should respect your boundaries. Next time explain you don't want to be bothered and tell him if he does then it's over.

    Is he in college too, or not? Maybe he just doesn't understand, but he really needs to be more respectful!

    He should be more understanding if you want and need some space for whatever reasons. Have you told him he’s being a little much?

    He's needy, but that doesn't make it okay.

    I would say its normal for a guy to want his girl around him the way he is doing it, but he also has to understand that college is a hand full. Seems like he's never been there done that.

    Maybe get him involve in your research once a while so he sees it really take time.
