This has been bugging me for a while but I want to know if it's normal that some people feel they have to "act" when they are on the internet?

Say a shy person chooses to act all sassy and tough when in fact, they know they're being fake.

Is it normal?

    I hate people who completely insult others online just because they know that they won't get punched in the face. I don't think people act differently just so much as show a side of themselves more online than in person. I would say that the only difference between how I act in real life and here is that I actually think about what I'm going to say when talking on this site.

    I reckon that everybody is different over the Internet and more open, not only the shy people. I wouldn't call it fake unless it was intended.

    I honestly think I am exactly the same over the internet as I am in person. This being said I will admit that I have more than careless with personal information on here because i'm really not worried about it.
