Is it normal that sexual desire is weaker without taboo?

Without a forbidden component, my sexual desire is not as strong. It must be socially unacceptable to have sex with a person - that is a key factor to making my sex life with that person great.

As soon as it is allowed, accepted and respected, I lose the interest in having sex with this person, because it is just boring to me. Roleplaying can help a bit, but it's still not the same.
It HAS to be at least a little bit forbidden. Someone HAS to be against me and this person hooking up.

    i've gone from normal teenage relationships straight into polyamoury, so exciting, so frowned upon, so sexy. there definitely is something sexy about certain taboos (to each their own) but you may have some problems if you can't enjoy normal sex.
