Average height for a woman is 5'4" in the US. 2.5 inches above average is noticeably taller, so it makes sense. Also bear in mind if you wear shoes / high heels that's 1 or 2 inches on top, putting you at 5'7.5" to 5'8.5", up to 4.5 inches taller than average.
As you say, body shape can add to the appearance of greater height, so being slender probably contributes :)
