(Rant Alert)
Its one thing to have a large truck, especially if its for hauling, and yes, everyone loves to customise a little, but I think its stupid when you have a one ton diesel, lifted on 35's with 28" wheels, stacks that belch black smoke, and a nascar or john deere logo on the truck. a diesel that belches black smoke isnt cool, it means something is wrong with it, (Or you turned up the injectors too high, spraying too much fuel) [you're an idiot if that is intentional]
A well maintained Cummins (or Duramax) should net 400,000+ working miles no problem. if it starts giving you hell at 133,000 miles, then you wonder if that was a good idea.
(Im not sure on the longevity of Ford power strokes)
BTW, the injectors can wear prematurely due to excess pressure, and the excess fuel will carbon up your engine.
IIN that people give me nasty looks when I drive my truck?
