    Unfortunately it is common.
    I had men in their 50s eyeing me when I was 14-15 wearing shorts in the summer and I look very young for my age, looking back at old pictures of myself showing them to people they think I was 8-10 years old on photos where i'm 15... So that doesn't make it much better.
    Men will be creeps. Often younger ones hide it better at least around here and old ones have absolutely 0 shame. Probably because they grew up in an even more sexist and shameless society.

      Ugh. When I was 10 and my sister was 13, grown ass men were hitting on us. We'd tell them our ages, but that didn't deter them. They wouldn't say anything to us when we had a guy with us or our dog, Blackie. But when we were alone, they were creeps. They were such cowards. XD

        People would hit on 10yos? How does that even happen? They saw you at the bus stop and started cat calling lol? I cant wrap my head around how you would even hit on a 10 yo. "Aye girl u lookij nice got some candy and some barnie movies in here"

          When I was like eleven I was with my aunt, uncle, and cousin at home Depot dressed in like a sweat outfit ensemble thing and this old guy called me sweety and gave me a provocative smile in the middle of conversation

          I didn't really understand it at the time but now I do. There's no way in hell he couldn't have known I hadn't even hit puberty

          Things like that happen. It's not even that they're trying to score, it's just projecting that energy onto someone vulnerable, someone underage, that gives them what they want. They'll just go home and think about that 5 minute interaction and it's absolutely disgraceful

          My sister and I got hit on while walking or riding our bikes to school, to the library, and to the 7 Eleven plaza. A lot of these people's favourite line was "aye mami!" or they'd make kissing noises or try to offer us money. The real creepy ones would drive slowly next to us while we were walking. I don't know what the hell was wrong with those people.

          At some point, we just started taking our dog with us everywhere. No one said a dang thing to us with her around. The few that tried learned that she wouldn't hesitate to hurt anyone that we felt uncomfortable with. Made me feel invincible. XD

        It's disgusting, if looks could kill I'd probably strike blind, and kill a lot of disgusting, old creepers. To me such people are less than cockroaches.

      Yeah, those older ones have always disgusting me. The thing I like best about being a middle aged woman is that a lot of people seem to be more respectful of me, and people in general don't fuck with me.

      It's so disgusting, and as been the bane of many a young woman's existence.
