It's not even 5%. It's probably more like 0.1% who have fame. Even they don't have that much influence; they are where they are because they conform to a narrow slice of the spectrum of what is possible, not because they have any special personal quality.
Fame isn't the thing to look for though. Even influence isn't. Many people who live life on their own terms are invisible to much of society.
