The only reason why I know how a rotary phone works is because my grandpa had one. For some people it's because they saw older movies with a rotary phone in them.
I don't blame people for not knowing how outdated tech works because that's how time works.
My grandpa had one as well. He also had a black and white TV i watched alot growing up. Those really were the good days man. Sometimes I wish we didnt get computers and shit im way too addicted.

I only know because there used to be a shop on my town that still sold them, as a kid I would get told off for playing with them.
One of my older colleges was boasting a while ago about how, “The last time I called in sick I called in on a rotary phone!”
