  • Some people can't help being obese.
They already feel bad enough as it is, they don't need people bringing them down more, that won't help anything.

    • This is bullshit made up by the majority, no ones saying these things about crackheads but say one bad thing about a fat guy and suddenly you're an asshole? I used to work for a small store and let me tell you it takes fucking effort and dedication to become obese, baskets FULL of candy pastries and sodas, or even if theyre just buying a newspaper they cant forget to buy a candy bar or three, how do they not see themselves doing this? I had a guy buy SIX milkyways for his teenage son, FUCKING SIX. I would probably throw up after eating that, and im not even healthy by any stretch of the imagination.

      • You just explained phil robertson in different terms. Oh you cant talk about gays like that. Yet it says exactly that gays are wrong in the bible.
This world is a joke. we wont be around much longer with these mindless sheep wandering astray. Ban a good man and actor because he insulted gays. well maybe we shouldnt sell bibles anymore either because jesus spoke a LOT more about gays than phil. The bible has the most historically correct info contained with in its covers than man has ever known.

*sighs* now i get to wait for the sheep to bash me with retarded logic! yay

      • Well, I was just trying to state that some obese people are obese due to disorders, or health problems, and if are trying to lose weight, but can't, then it's really not their fault.

However, if obese people purposely eat unhealthy foods such as candy or junk food, and aren't trying to get more healthy than there really isn't no helping them.

Also, I never brought up crackheads.

        • I can't think of many health problems that can cause someone to balloon up to the 300 to 600 pound range except for maybe suicidal depression.

        • The "some people" you mentioned is a very small minority, I was talking about the arguement for obesity in general so i passed it off, but yeah youre right there are people that really cant help it.

That is a very, very small number of people. I was comparong the general opinion on crackheads to the general opinion on obesity but I realize now after reading your comment again you meant helpless fat people specifically.

          • Its not hard all you need to do is exercise and eat less and healthier food. But the problem is fat people have no motivation or dedication. The first sign of pain and there ready to quit for good. They arent helpless, its so easy to lose weight. They just need to man up and stop being wussys and take the pain.

            • For most people yes, but there is a small percentage of people who literally cant help being fat, but they're rare and so small in number it shouldnt even really be considered.

              • I understand if your crippled or have a medical condition but thats like 1 in 100.

    • I dont buy that. Its really not hard. Eat less calories than you burn and you'll lose weight. I hate excuses like this!!!

Edit: maybe outside pressure will help them realize they have a problem they need to change. I don't make fun of obese people to their face or anything, but inside they make me sick.

      • "they make me sick".... keeps your weight down then.

But seriously, you Know that someone elses weight is none of your business! Why would you bother feeling angry about this? What's it to you?

It's just that in a general sense, any time you hear somebody putting another person/group down for no apparent reason, it's an obvious attempt to make themselves feel or look better by comparison. Kids do this.

Do you put a lot of effort into being healthy yourself?

        • Because fat people are everywhere and he has to constantly look at them destroy themselves. He just hates looking at fat people they arent good to look at. Hes not trying to make himself feel better hes just tired of looking at fat people. I put alot of effort into being healthy, its easy all you need to do is exercise and eat healthy.

Are you fat? Most fat defenders are fat so they cant see from a fit persons point of view. Put yourself in a fit persons shoes and then look at a bunch of fat people.

          • It's possible to be fit and healthy without looking down at every fat person you see! Also, I strongly doubt that you/OP care about their health.

I put a lot of effort into maintaining my car. But if somebody wants to drive around in an old bomb and that made me angry, would that be a reasonable response, do you think?

This wouldn't affect my opinion but as you asked, I am thin but not fit. I suspect that if I spent hours in the gym, got into real good shape etc, I would have to make sure to also CHECK MY EGO! It's entirely possible that my natural childish, unhindered response may be to look down on other people who haven't put in the effort I did:

            1) To justify myself doing it - I mean, other people don't care about fitness, but I have to justify its importance because I've put in all that effort.
            2) I want to make myself somehow feel better than others, because I deserve something for all my effort.
            3) I'm comparing myself to others. Now that I think I'm hot shit, everyone else looks more flabby than they used to, just by comparison.

But I wouldn't believe these things because that would make me an asshole!!

Do you think you/OP's reaction to fat people is that of a well balanced and psychologically mature human being?

Why do you think in this case you have any right to expect someone else to live up to your standards?

            • Im not an asshole I just have no respect for people who dont care at all about there bodies. How can I respect someone who doesnt even respect themselves.

I dont do it to feel better about myself or feel or act superior just everytime I look at them I feel disgusted. I dont like anything about fat people. There gross primitive humans, who throw there lives away. I dont expect them to live up to my standards I expect them to take minor efforts to maintain there appearence so I dont have to be discusted upon looking at them.
