Isn't the whole point of therapy to "understand" your problems? With understanding you should be able to change things, otherwise, what is the point of therapy or understanding?
It is you who must do something, no one else can do it for you. "severe depression and social anxiety" are not the normal condition for a human being, though most likely they are common manifestations of today's society.
At some point you must choose another path or be swallowed up by your severe depression and social anxiety, forever.
You have no idea of my life. All I will say here is that I know for a fact that one can choose to no longer let the depression and social anxiety rule one's life. It takes nothing more than the will, the need, the desire to change.
Choose to live and make a bold move. Leave town, or whatever you need to do to break the cycle of depression and social anxiety.
What the fuck do you have to lose? If things get worse (can they?) or don't work out, then you can come back to your choices above.
You will never be able to run away from yourself, but a change of scenery can also be a change of view. You need to work, struggle and win, to gain satisfaction and self respect.
Volunteer at an animal or homeless shelter, or at a zoo, if one is close. Stay busy, stay active; get moving. You'll be surprised how swiftly your mental problems will recede. I lost nearly 70 pounds of "depression and social anxiety" weight, once I was moving again.
Then I met the right woman and I am having a life I sincerely thought was lost to me forever.
Is it normal That nobody understands me except myself?

I don't think you have that great of an understanding of what it's like to be severely depressed. It's not that simple.

Motivation is hard to come by when one is questioning whether to live or not.
