Judging by the comments here it's normal. I personally don't find nerdy talk attractive. I find dorky/geeky/nerdy references do very little for me, or sometimes turn me off.
Actual creative speak (art, music, poetry, literature) does more for me.
Geeks can be "actually" creative.
I never said they couldn't. Just like creative people can be "actually" geeky.
That 'actual' in my previous comment was meant to be 'actually' by the way :P
