Is it normal that my vein feels hard?

Woke up with extreme pain in my arm as the day went on, it seemed to disappeared. Day 2 I could feel it was painful but it wasn't bad. Day 3 it's just been radiating pain. Moving hurts. Being still hurts. Light touches on the skin in the surounding area hurts. Noticed the vein itself feels hard and tight. I feel like if I straigten my arm out all the way my vein will snapped. Normally veins are soft and squishy. Mine hurts and I belive is the epicenter of the pain I am feeling. Is this something that needs immediate attention? It has been 5 days and it hasnt improved. Does this seem like I should go to the ER about? I do have an appointment or tuesday but I want to make sure I can make it to Tuesday. 🤣🤣🤣

I once made up an awful song about deep vein thrombosis.
