I'd never heard of Megalovania before, but just had a listen.
It strikes me as a good backing track for a frantic game, but just listening to it would rapidly drive me bonkers.
My tween daughter is probably familiar with it. It just occurred me that she asked me an 'is it normal' question a couple of months back about music. She wears headphones a lot of the time. They're volume-limited to save her hearing, and that also means that her mother and I have no idea what she's listening to. She asked me if I thought it was weird that she'd spent the whole day listening to a brief clip on repeat (it might have been from some TikTok thing).
I can't recall what it was, but I don't remember it being as jarring and manic as Megalovania. Still, I would have rapidly found it incredibly tedious to listen to the same forty seconds over and over.
Nonetheless, my response to her questions was along the lines of, "You be you, kid."
Is it normal that my teacher and I love the same band?

I know you were joking, I just wanted to apply the joke to my own life.
It's actually very rare for me to come across music that I outright dislike, but blood will be shed if I ever have to listen to Megalovania again
