  • Ok, so composite fillings conduct heat and cold sensitivity very well. It will probably take a bit of time for them to setting down, especially if they were deep or large fillings. If the problem persists after a couple of months or gets to be too much to tolerate, then definitely give your Dr a call. Just a little tip: old school amalgam fillings last much longer and have less issues than the compost. All though they are prettier, they breakdown in about 5-8 years vs amalgam which last 15, 20+ years. You can try using some sensodyne toothpaste to see if it helps. That it's self will take about 4 weeks before you know if it helps.
