It's been this way since around the high school days. We're 25 now, and I've never felt so detached. I have a broken family since forever and she's the only family I know that understands English and can assimilate.
I found her in my closet with a note and a knife 5 years back because of her caring for this guy. She didn't cut herself (thank god). I just heard crying in the middle of the night and even then it's just vague bf bashing.
I don't want to sit back and wait til her deathbed to tell me that I should have been there for her.
I don't want to feel like I'm giving up by just leaving it alone. You know?
Is it normal that my sister doesn't want to talk about her problems?

Not everyone wants to share their problems with others, and not everyone will ask for help unless they want it.
