Is it normal that my pet bird doesnt really want me to touch him?

PS: If you want a pet that likes to be touched, get a cat or a dog

It’s so normal. I have a canary for 4 years and i still can’t touch it. Small sized birds usally scare.

I've never had a bird for a pet, but it's my impression that they don't really like to be touched. He might like to perch on your shoulder though if he feels comfortable with you.

I think so. I have chickens and some of them are happy when you pet them, but others don't like to be touched.
