My cousin and her husband have brown eyes but had one kid with bright blue eyes. Which seemed odd. But almost everyone in my family have blue so although browns more dominant maybe the blue genes took over from the rest the family if that’s even how it works.
Is it normal that my parents both have blue eyes but I have brown?

It's a lot more common for two parents having brown eyes to have a kid with blue eyes than the other way around, but it does happen.
