Did something happen between them? I'm in a somewhat similar situation. Before my father died, I often saw his family when I was younger. After he died, at some point my family refused to let me see my fathers family. All my young life, I've haven't been allowed to see them or communicate with them. My family makes fun of them, especially my aunt. Last year after my birthday, my fathers family sent a note and their number. They said they wanted to get in touch with me, but my family has refused. I'm Forbidden to speak with them:/ I don't know why this is. My father's family were always respectful, but my family seems to hold deep anger against them. I'm baffled and rather upset as a result... It's similar to your problem. Have you tried sending the woman a note or some other form of contact? It's very odd... The last option would probably be to get the court involve, but only if nothing else works.
