Why don't you just ask her for the money and go and buy ones you like?
If the only issue is her time then find another way - I'm sure you don't need her to be with you.
I understand where Energy is coming from, but if you are too young to work, then you could maybe do the chores to get her on side long enough for her to part with her hard earned cash.
