Is it normal that my long-separated parents still argue daily?

My parents separated 8 years ago. My mother was in and out of the house for about 4 years then moved out permanently. However, my father still argues with her daily over the phone, she calls me multiple times a day to talk about her life, and up until recently my father was partially financially dependent on her. Is this normal?

If they are forced to be with each other especially due to taking care of the rest of the family then yes.

Did they ever actually get divorced?

Sounds tough. Hope they'll be ok.

Must of been a nasty divorce then. I dont know what percentage of divorces go down the nasty path. Thank God all my friends get relatively quick and simple divorces.

O.P said they are separated, not divorced.

Then it looks like the seperation is working then. Divorces happen.
