No you should not treat your mother badly. You should not treat your wife poorly either. However he is making a chioce to be a 5 year old and suck on his thumb. Mommy here is making sure he stay a child forever. Peter pan is not real and he does not need to be in her arms anymore. You need to set limits about how close you are to a child after a certien age. This is not right or normal. GET A REAL MAN! You should not be dealing with his issues. Since ovboiusly he is never going to fix them on his own. Make him fix this or leave. If he will not do it yourself.
