Why is it your job to make dinner? If he's been at home with the kids, then he can get something together. It seems like common sense that the person who's out of the house for 50 or 60 hours a week does less of the housework/cooking/cleaning.
School takes some time and energy too, and so does raising kids, but if he's already home, he can put some ground beef and tomato sauce in a pan and make some damned spaghetti.
