Is it normal that my husband and i are opposites?

well, im 4'11, hes 6'7.
im childish, hes strict.
i hate fighting, hes ex-army.
i wear lolita dresses, he wears camo.
i have pigtails, he has a buzz cut.
im way too innocent and i dont understand many sexual terms, he explains them to me in graphic detail while smirking at my reaction.
I work in psychiatry, he works in forensics.
i'm overemotional and cry at stupid things, he hides all his emotions easily.
i like rock and j-pop, he likes techno and dubstep.
i giggle like an 8 year old, he laughs like a psychopath.
i like cartoons, he likes law shows.
i like cooking, he likes eating.
i like cleaning, he likes sitting an reading.
im british, hes american.
im masochistic, hes sadistic.
We are in a domestic discipline relationship,
the only thing we have in common is our geekyness.
but we barely ever fight.

is it normal that our relationship works so well?
