Is it normal that my hairstylist would call me to check on my haircut?

So I'm an 18 year old guy and I got my hair cut the other day at this salon because I had a ten dollar coupon. I ended up getting a six dollar haircut which was a great deal, but today the lady who cut it called me to ask if the haircut was working for me. I said I had no complaints and she said she'd see me in a few weeks. Do salons usually do this?

    I don't think I'm particularly good looking and I'm certainly not wealthy. Must be desperate for customers then.

    I'm female and when I get a haircut, they usually try to get me to book my next appointment while I'm still at the salon.

    Since you're a dude and she called you after you'd already left, there's probably only two explanations:
    1) The salon is hard up for customers,
    2) She likes you and wants to see you again.
    Are you good looking or wealthy?
