Is it normal that my hair naturally grows in mullet form?

No matter how I get my hair cut, in a few weeks I'm going to have a mullet. If I try to grow it out completely, it gets to a certain point and then just stops growing. Is this normal? My friends joke that this may have been caused by an overdose of 80s movies or a secret David Bowie gene. It's like I get a haircut and it looks fine for a day, a week, two weeks and then one day I wake up, look in the mirror and OMG, Ziggy Stardust. My choice of bright red hair dye is also probably not helping.

  • So when you were a baby, and you first started to grow hair, it was a mullet? :"D

    • Actually, as a baby I either had very short hair all the time or it was that.

  • Had a friend with the same problem. She always gets short cuts and then the back of her hair grows faster and she gets a little baby mullet. Just keep cutting it

  • Usually, when people have a hard time growing their hair out, it's because of breakage, not because it stops growing. Maybe change what hair products you're using?

  • Why fight it?

    • Because it isn't the 80s.
Because my name isn't David Bowie.
Because everyone makes fun of mullets.
AND because I'd rather have a normal hairstyle.

      • Well turn your du-rag, hat and sunglasses around, slap a pair of wax lips on there and walk your ass backwards to the barbershop then.
