Is it normal that my hair generally doesn't look good?

My hair usually looks really bad in pictures. Not like messed up, it just makes me look like a loser. I never style my hair with any products (I'm a guy) and my hairline is pretty high. All the other guys have nice hairlines and their hair seems to fall naturally in sexy ways. Do people usually style their hair with products to make it look good, or is my hair just inherently bad looking?
Depending on which way you look at me, I either look great or like an idiot because of the way my hair is shaped. is it normal to be self conscious like this?

    I'm a hairdresser I'd love to give you advice but I don't know what your hair looks like. As for products just use the manipulator by bed head! Best product ever for shirt hair!

    My hair is annoying. I can't figure out what looks best for my face shape and body. Don't know if I want bangs or how I should part my hair or how long or short it should be. It technically looks better if I blowdry it, but it is so thick I don't have the time to do that every time...it usually ends up in a boring ponytail or bun. All I hope is that when I'm older and everyones hair is thinning that I'll better appreciate mine.

    try some hair products just to see, a lot of guys I know use gel and hairspray. You can also try a new style or hair cut. Either way I doubt it's as bad as you think.

    some guys may think their hair looks bad but to others it may look good, I'd just ask someone what looks good on you and let them experiment
