Even more so if the friend is single and is not a club hopper. The friend is most likely lonely when she is not around and she makes her stay and spend time with her or your girlfriend feels guilty about leaving her alone. Maybe when she is out and texting you the whole time she is just entertaining you. I feel if she was serious about wanting you to be there, she would see you every time she got the chance or is in the area.
