WTF is this site, I haven't even been on here for more than 12 hours and I've learned, like, 8 new words, made two friends (talking bout you zorak) and even have already bookmarked this site. I love it. Also, OP, why would you not give any details about her being beaten, because as the post is now--it sounds like she left you for a dude who lays pipe and you don't know how to deal with it. Fix that. Change my opinion, my dude, like, details are everything.
Oh, I thought I was being detailed enough. No he just beats her if she disagrees with him. She thinks that if she doesn't listen, he won't love her back. And the beatings are sort of her indication of it.
That's not kind. The myth of god... if it were kind (as you claim), would let us torture it, and not its offspring. But, let's get back to your IIN question. It really does sound like she is dating a god.
God: I love you. Love me back, obey me, and agree with me... or I will beat you.
Her: Uh-oh, I disagreed - and I got beatings.
God: Yes, and if you don't do what I say, then you'll get more beatings... but I love you.
Her: I'd better love, obey, & agree with him, or he will beat me again, and again, etc. So, I'd better do as he commands, or I'm afraid that he won't love me anymore (and the beatings will continue).
YEP... sound like the dude's got a god complex. And your 'girlfriend' is victimizing herself. A totally fucked up situation. She SO Needs to GET AWAY From him!
