Okay, I'm guilty of being insulting peoples' grammar, but at a time like that, when your friend's MOTHER is in the hospital, on the brink of life and death, and your friend is asking for your help, and instead of immediately going to her aid and saying "I'll be there", you chose to be rude and insult her grammar at a time when she needed you?
At a time of a family crisis, grammar is the last thing on someone's mind. Now, maybe you legitimately couldn't understand her. If that's the case, then how you said it made it seem like you chose to insult her instead of help her. But if that isn't the case, and you knew that her mother had a stroke and was in the hospital, but instead of helping her you chose to insult her grammar- yeah, I'm not gonna lie, if that ever happened to me, my reaction would probably be the same as your friend's.
IIN that my friend won't speak to be because I corrected her grammar?
