Is it normal that my friend is 16 and her boyfriend is 21?
They have been going out for almost 2 years now. I think it is okay but alot of our friends hate her now because of it. What do you think?

Uh, yeah? My sister's 19 and her boyfriend's 30. Thirty. Eleven years apart. They celebrated the 11.11.11 knowingly for that reason yesterday.
Something tells me those friends you mentioned are jealous. It's a ridiculous reason though. Unless she flaunts about the sex they have while hanging out, which really ticks many off.
Back in school I had a female classmate, 15, who was dating with this guy who's 25 (paper bag please). I didn't dislike her for that, but it was how she openly talks about their bedroom stuff. "I poked a hole in the condom without him knowing because I want his baby!" like she's afraid the whole class wouldn't know.
Your friends should get off the couple's back though. Pretty sure it's real love - puppy or not.
Quite obviously legally it is not accepted that the 'boy' who was 19 when they first went out, and the girl was 14. This also depends on what country you live in.
Since they have now been together for two years it is likely that they do honestly love each other though.
Even though. As a father, I'd still advise the girl (especially) to understand that 'boy' is not the only man in the world, and when she reaches 18 she may decide to go out partying more with other boys. ie Don't tie yourself fully down.
If they are both presently happy, then leave it at that. Good luck to them.
Its weird because when I was 16 I would have thought it was normal and none of anyones fucken business. Now that I am 26 and I know these 21 year olds that date 16 year olds I find it creepy (in most instances). Sometimes this is genuinely love, but it's usually according to phychology a daddy thing on the girl part and a maturity thing on the guys part.
