Is it normal that my father wants to let my mom's friend live in our yard?

My dad is always let people stay with us and now he wants to let a friend of my mom's (not a best friend but someone she has known for a long time) to park an RV on our property. It is only supposed to be for part of the year but I know they would stay for months on end. It is a woman and her child. The child is very charming and I think my father is worried about her being in an unstable housing situation (they are not facing homelessness or anything, just poor and can't decide where to live). The mother is ok but can be slightly annoying. I really don't like having extra people around, it is stressful for me. I also know it would make things more difficult for my mother, who is too kind to refuse but who would bear the brunt of the burden as she is the one at home most of the time (she works part time and my father is very career oriented). I know she does not want this and neither do I.

Set a time limit, or they'll be parked there forever.. And keep the socializing to a minimum or moderate level. The closer your families get, that RV will sink into the ground it will be there so long.

A friend and coworker of my ex lived with us for a short time, and, while she was cute and sexy..I made a point to not get that close to her, fearing she'd see it as a permanent situation. Was out shopping with my now ex one weekend, and I put it to her directly: We're giving her an absolute time limit to find somewhere else to live. This is not a permanent thing. Luckily, the woman understood and was only with us for about a month and few days..

In that case it makes more sense just to let them stay in the studio.

They don't really need it. They can already stay in our studio when they want to. It would also make things harder for my mother, and we are thinking we won't do it largely because of that.
